The NoPhone will be on Shark Tank.
New York, NY (March 29th, 2016)
On April 8th, NoPhone LLC will become the first fake phone company to appear on Shark Tank. The recipient of the 2014 and 2015 Emmy Award for Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Shark Tank, features ”The Sharks” – tough, self-made, millionaire and billionaire tycoons -- as they invest in America's best businesses and products. Van Gould and Chris Sheldon pitched the NoPhone to the “Sharks” for the seventh season of the critically acclaimed reality show. Gould and Sheldon appeared in front of Sharks Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Kevin O'Leary, Lori Greiner and Robert Herjavec with the hopes of getting an investment.
The NoPhone is a technology-free alternative to constant hand-to-phone contact. With a thin, light and completely wireless design, the NoPhone acts as a surrogate to any smart mobile device, enabling you to always have a rectangle of smooth, cold plastic to clutch without forgoing any potential engagement with your direct environment. Never again experience the unsettling feeling of flesh on flesh when closing your hand.
Gould and Sheldon can’t reveal the outcome of their pitch, but they are hoping everyone will watch the show. "People spend too much time with their phones,” Sheldon explains. “The NoPhone can help you have no phone.” Each year tens of thousands of businesses apply to be on the show - this year over 100,000 ideas were submitted - only 200 are chosen to film segments, and just over half of those who film make it on-air. "We are very proud to be the first fake phone company on Shark Tank" says Gould.
